The GATE Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an all India examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs . Gate 2014 Notification and exam dates had released. All candidates can check Gate 2014 notification available online at official website.

GATE 8 zones are given below :

• Zone-1: Indian Institute of Science Bangalore
• Zone-2: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
• Zone-3: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi
• Zone-4: Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati
• Zone-5: Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
• Zone-6: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur
• Zone-7: Indian Institute of Technology Madras
• Zone-8: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

The GATE score is used for admission into various post-graduate programmes such as M.E., M.Tech and Ph.D in Indian higher education institutes.

GATE 2014 Important Dates :

• GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) starting Date – 2nd September 2013
• Last Date for Enrolment – 1st October 2013
• Last date for Submission of Online Application through Website – 3rd October 2013
• Last Date for the receipt of Print-out of the ONLINE Application – 10th October 2013
• Last Date for Request for Change in the Choice of City – 20th November 2013
• Availability of Admit Card on the GOAPS website for printing – 18th December, 2013
• GATE 2014 Online Examination – Between 1st February and 2nd March 2014
• (Forenoon: 9.00 AM to 12.00 Noon
• Afternoon: 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM)
• Announcement of Results on the Online Application Website : 28th March 2014

GATE 2014 Application fee :

• Rs 1500 for General/OBC male candidates
• Rs 750 for women candidates
• Rs 1500 for General/OBC other candidates
• Rs 750 for the SC/ST/PD category candidates.
• The Application fee can be paid either online or through a bank challan via SBI or Syndicate Bank.
• The application fee is non – refundable
